How to Fight Speeding Tickets Like a Seasoned Pro!

One of the worst things in life is speeding tickets. I mean, they are never fun to get and we all get so mad and are shocked when we get them! They almost always cost a lot of money and can have a negative effect on your car insurance. Obviously the easiest way to not have to get into this problem at all is to abide by the speed limit and don’t get yourself in this trouble in the first place. But that’s kind of hard for me to say with a straight face, I love to drive fast!

So I’m assuming that you’re reading this article because you just got caught driving a bit too fast, right? That’s ok, I’ve been there many times before. I probably average about 2 tickets a year. I drive a fast car, so I have the perfect excuse. Seriously, I do get quite a few tickets, and I say that to you so you can know that I’m not just making up what I’m about to tell you, I’ve gone through it a few times, in different states.

What do I do when I get a ticket? I try to get it thrown out of court, and contest it, that is what I do. I try to get it adjudicated. To adjudicate something is to dismiss it and it’s a legal term. So before going to court, I make sure I dress up really nice and look important. I say to dress up because most people who go to court and underdressed and don’t look very presentable. Judges are talking to these people all day long and it’s refreshing when they see someone who took the time to bathe, shave and put on a nice suite, or in women’s case, maybe a dress. The key here is to look professional.

Once you get to the judge, simply request that your ticket be adjudicated. It’s as easy as that. In the event that you request gets denied, you may ask for defensive driving, which would likely be their next suggestion. Defensive driving is great because it will give you the opportunity to lower your insurance rate, hopefully, as well as throw the ticket off your record in 90 days. Check with your state for the exact details as for how long you are on probation, but typically its three months. I have a lot more of these tips on my website, so be sure to stop on by for more information on how to avoid speeding and traffic tickets.
