James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 Sells at Auction £2.9 Million

The auction held by RM Auctions was won by an American businessman named Yeaggy. He paid $4.59 Million Dollars or £2.9 Million Sterling for the car.
He also receives a 7 night stay for 10 guests in the new Goldeneye Resort Jamaica, which is owned by the James Bond author; Ian Fleming.
In addition to this, he will have a custom suit made with gold thread from the London Savile Row tailors Gieves & Hawkes.
Yeaggy is the second owner of the famous car, it was originally purchased direct from Aston Martin by Jerry Lee for $12,000 US Dollars in 1969.
Jerry is an American radio presenter based in Philadelphia.
The DB5 is one of two cars used in the Bond films Thunderball and Goldfinger, and is the only one in existence.
The Aston comes with all the Q gadgets used in the films.
These not so common extras include a smoke screen, nail and Oil spreaders, removable roof panel, revolving number plates, tracking device, bullet proof shield and of course machine guns. Most of the gadgets are working, obviously the guns are replicas.
Jerry Lee plans to use the proceeds for charity’s.
